The ADA Amendments Act and What it Means for Employers

Presented by Scott P. Moore and Allison D. Balus

On September 25, 2008, President Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act ("ADAAA") into law. The ADAAA took effect January 1, 2009, and made sweeping changes to the definition of "disability" by dramatically expanding who is covered by the ADA.

This webinar examines how the ADA has changed, who is now covered, and the impact of the changes on requests for reasonable accommodation, discrimination charges, and litigation. It is imperative that you understand these changes to the ADA, their impact on managing your workforce, and the steps that you need to take in order to reduce your potential liability.
