2009 Best Places to Work in Omaha Announced

March 12, 2009

The winners of the Best Places to Work in Omaha are announced. The competition is sponsored by the Greater Omaha Chamber and Baird Holm LLP, and was designed to encourage companies to measure levels of employee satisfaction through an online survey.

According to Scott S. Moore, founder of the event and partner at Baird Holm, there were four goals of the competition: "To honor companies that have created positive work environments; to recognize and share best practices; to promote Omaha and Omaha-area employers and to provide valuable feedback and data to participating companies to assist them in measuring levels of employee satisfaction and engagement."

Right Management Consultants, which administered the survey, is meeting with each participating employer to discuss the results to guide moves to boost employee work-place satisfaction and engagement.

"This competition identifies best practices and provides feedback to the participating companies," Chamber President and CEO David G. Brown said. "Companies that use that feedback to make changes in their organizations improve the overall work climate in Omaha. Engaged, productive employees make business stronger."
