Baird Holm Partner Barbara Person Elected Chair of the Conference for Mercy Higher Education

Barbara Person, a partner with Baird Holm LLP, has been elected Chair of the Conference for Mercy Higher Education.

The Conference for Mercy Higher Education sponsors 16 colleges and universities in 11 states, including the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Neb. and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. According to its Web site, “The mission of the Conference for Mercy Higher Education is the preservation and development of the core Catholic identity and mission of Mercy higher education in accord with the spirit, mission, and heritage of the Sisters of Mercy.”

Ms. Person has been a Board Member with the organization since 2006 and in 2008 she was appointed to the Vice-Chair position. Before becoming involved with the Conference for Mercy Higher Education, she was involved with the College of Saint Mary and served as the Chair of its Board of Directors from 2002 to 2004. Ms. Person is a member of the Health Care practice group at Baird Holm.
