Baird Holm LLP Achieves Highest Rankings in All Chambers USA Nebraska Categories for 3rd Consecutive Year

June 30, 2008

For the third year in a row, Omaha-based Baird Holm law firm earned all top-tier rankings in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, 2008 – The Client’s Guide.

Baird Holm LLP is the only Nebraska law firm to be listed in Band 1 (the highest tier) in all five categories in Nebraska used by Chambers USA to evaluate a law firm’s performance. The categories are corporate/mergers & acquisitions, health care, employment, litigation and real estate. Chambers client guide books are used throughout the world by legal firms and businesses for referral purposes.

To arrive at the rankings, London-based Chambers & Partners, Legal Publishers conducted more than 10,000 interviews with clients and attorneys across the nation. Chambers ranks firms by state. Law firms and individual attorneys are ranked in bands on a scale of 1-6, with 1 being the best. The qualities on which rankings are assessed include technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness/astuteness, diligence, commitment and other qualities most valued by the client.

The newest category added in Nebraska is health care. With over 100 hospitals as clients throughout Nebraska and other states, Baird Holm ranked in the top tier for Nebraska. "These guys are the best," the guide says of Baird Holm in explaining the Band 1 ranking in the healthcare category.

In addition, 19 attorneys were selected by their clients and legal peers for recognition as "Leaders in Nebraska".  The attorneys selected include: Jill Robb Ackerman, Kirk S. Blecha, Alex (Kelly) M. Clarke, Gary N. Clatterbuck, Kelly R. Dahl, Steven D. Davidson, William G. Dittrick, P. Scott Dye, Christopher R. Hedican, John R. Holdenried, Thomas E. Johnson, Lawrence E. Kritenbrink, Gerald P. Laughlin, Scott S. Moore, David M. Pedersen, Richard E. Putnam, R.J. (Randy) Stevenson, Steven C. Turner and John S. Zeilinger.
