Drew Theophilus is a member of the Firm’s Financial Transactions Section. His practice areas include agricultural/agribusiness finance, commercial finance, title insurance and general real estate. He represents banks and institutional lenders in all aspects of financial transactions, including the analysis of issues related to the Uniform Commercial Code Article 9. Mr. Theophilus' focus also includes structuring, negotiating and documenting loan transactions, as well as, analyzing related title insurance or due diligence issues.
Mr. Theophilus is a member of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section, Commercial Financial Services Committee, and the current Vice Chairperson for the Subcommittee on Agricultural and Agri-Business Finance. He is also a member of the California Bar Agribusiness Committee.
In 2001, Mr. Theophilus received a Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He received a Bachelor of Science in Economics, magna cum laude, from Baker University in 1998.
