Description:
The 2024 election resulted in a shift in power in Washington D.C., which will change the legal landscape for most employers.  Closer to home, voters in Nebraska approved various state measures, such as paid sick leave and medical marijuana, which may require adjustments to day-to-day practices.  This webinar will review applicable state initiatives, anticipated federal changes, and provide insights into what to expect over the next four years.

Presenters:
Scott S. Moore
Scott S. Moore is one of the few employment lawyers regionally who has been selected as a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers (the premier peer-selected organization of labor and employment lawyers in North America), and as a member of the American Employment Law Council (the Nation’s premier organization for management-side employment lawyers).

Kelli P. Lieurance
Kelli P. Lieurance focuses on labor and employment law compliance, assisting employers with proactive, rather than just defensive, compliance efforts. Her practical approach not only offers clients a realistic view of their legal obligations, but also assists clients in implementing such obligations in a way that best suits their business needs.

Sapphire M. Andersen
Sapphire M. Andersen is a member of the firm’s Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits Group. She assists employers in all aspects of labor and employment law compliance, including preparing and reviewing personnel policies, advising on equal employment opportunity, and defending claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation filed with local, state, and federal agencies.  Sapphire advises clients on general day-to-day employment issues, including those related to the FLSA, FMLA, and other federal and state regulations.
