Profile
Chad R. Anderson is a commercial litigation attorney in the Labor & Employment section of the firm. He has deep and varied experience, a broad and versatile skillset, and the ability to channel intensive legal analysis into practical business solutions. Chad is adept at balancing litigation needs with underlying operational realities when working with clients to formulate and execute litigation strategies, and is effective working with client representatives ranging from front-line sales, backroom operations, internal legal and HR, to top executives.
In his career, Chad has litigated at several national law firms and has also managed nationwide litigation in-house at one of the world’s largest financial services firms, impacting thousands of cases (including several class actions) in the process. In that time, he has helped represent individuals, companies and other organizations from a wide variety of industries, including banking and consumer lending, insurance and reinsurance, manufacturing, publishing, real estate brokerage, higher education, and investment management. That work has given him experience in a commensurately wide variety of substantive and procedural areas of law, as well as all phases of the civil litigation process (from pre-case investigations to appeals). He also has experience representing clients who are the subject of regulatory inquiries and investigations.
Chad received his Juris Doctor, with high distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1999, where he earned induction to Order of the Coif and was an Associate Editor on the Moot Court Board and a justice on the university’s Supreme Judicial Court. Prior to law school, Chad graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in English, with highest distinction, in 1993.
In addition to being a legal practitioner, Chad has also been a legal educator, having taught Business Law at the junior college level on an adjunct basis.
