Profile
Jimmie L. Pinkham is a member of the Labor & Employment practice group. He focuses his practice on all aspects of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims filed under both state and federal law. Jimmie also provides advice and counsel to entities aimed at preventing employment-based claims. Jimmie is particularly adept at advising and representing governmental entities in difficult employment matters.
Prior to joining Baird Holm, Jimmie was a Deputy County Attorney in the Civil Division of the Douglas County Attorney’s Office for over a decade. As a Deputy County Attorney, Jimmie represented department heads, administrators, and elected officials in employment and labor matters, contract claims, tort claims, and constitutional/civil rights claims. Jimmie has experience representing department heads and elected officials in administrative proceedings before Civil Service Commissions, the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission, the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission, the Nebraska Commission on Industrial Relations, and the Tax Equalization and Review Commission.
In 2014, Jimmie earned his law degree from the Creighton University School of Law. During law school, Jimmie was the Moot Court Board President, a national finalist in the 64th Annual National Moot Court Competition, and was named the Best Oralist in his region. Jimmie is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Omaha, where he earned a B.S. in Political Science.
Jimmie is a member of St. Cecilia’s Cathedral Parish Finance Council and the Metropolitan Community College Paralegal Advisory Committee.
