Baird Holm’s Creditors’ Rights Team Obtains Favorable Decision from the SDNY District Court

Baird Holm’s Creditors’ Rights team, led by cross-border specialist Jeremy Hollembeak, obtained a favorable decision from the SDNY District Court yesterday. Overruling all objections, the Court granted a Section 1782 application by the firm’s Brazilian client to subpoena a UK bank with a substantial presence in New York for records of illicit international funds transfers by certain parties to be targeted in a forthcoming complaint to Brazilian regulators.  This is the second Section 1782 subpoena Baird Holm has helped the client obtain for this purpose.
