New Form I-9 Mandatory Today!

Effective today, May 1, 2020, all employers are required to begin using the newest version of the Form I-9. A copy of the Form, both electronic and printable formats, is located on I-9 Central, which is a part of the US Citizenship and Immigration Service website. Be sure to access the Form at: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9 if you have not already done so. The website itself is full of great information on the Form and completing and retaining Form I-9s for your employees. 

While there were no significant changes to the Form itself in the newest version, the Department of Homeland Security issued a new Handbook for Employers this week which has a number of significant changes and new guidance. More information on this will be coming soon.
