The Honorable D. Nick Caporale Among the 88 of Nebraska’s 2,400 Living Korean War Veterans

Baird Holm is proud to celebrate The Honorable D. Nick Caporale, who was among the 88 of Nebraska’s 2,400 living Korean War veterans honored during a special ceremony at Memorial Stadium on July 24.

Hosted by Governor Jim Pillen, the Nebraska Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chicago Sangwoo Hong, the ceremony brought together more than 500 attendees to honor the courage, sacrifice, and lasting legacy of Nebraska’s Korean War veterans. Each veteran in attendance received a state recognition coin and an Ambassador for Freedom Medal from the Republic of Korea as part of an ongoing initiative to recognize those who answered the call to serve.

We are proud to recognize Judge Caporale’s service and join in expressing our deepest gratitude to all Korean War veterans whose dedication and sacrifice continue to inspire generations.
