Time Is Ticking For H1b Visa Petitions Under The 2020-2021 Cap

The H-1B cap filings registration process opens March 1st and, if you are considering sponsoring an individual for initial H-1B visa status for employment starting October 1, 2020 you should be preparing for the registration process now, as registration for the 2020-2021 lottery closes at noon EST March 20th.  Under the new process, employers must pre-register as a prospective visa sponsor between March 1st and March 20th.  If selected in the lottery that will take place in the last 10 days of March, a full petition filing will be need to be prepared and submitted within 90 days of selection.
