Erin E. Busch is a health care attorney who advises hospitals, health systems, specialty providers, and other health care organizations on regulatory, compliance, and contracting issues. She has substantial experience counseling clients on Medicare and Medicaid requirements, reimbursement and repayment issues, HIPAA and health information privacy laws, the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (“EMTALA”), the No Surprises Act, medical staff affairs, and reporting to licensure boards and the National Practitioner Data Bank (“NPDB”).
Drawing on her experience in both the health care and public sectors, Erin helps clients address regulatory challenges, implement compliance strategies, manage risk, and navigate governance issues. She also advises governmental entities on open meetings, public records, and public governance matters.
Prior to entering private practice, Erin served in the Office of General Counsel for a public higher education institution, where she focused on privacy, information security, regulatory compliance, contracting, and governance. Her background provides valuable insight into the legal and operational challenges facing highly regulated organizations.
