Reminder: VETS-4212 Reports Due September 30

on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 in Labor & Employment Law Update: Sarah M. Huyck, Editor

Federal contractors and subcontractors with a current federal contract/subcontract worth $200,000 or more, don’t forget that the annual VETS-4212 reporting deadline is September 30. The VETS-4212 report is required for covered federal contractors and subcontractors and provides workforce and hiring data regarding protected veterans. Employers subject to the reporting requirement should confirm their coverage status, gather the necessary workforce data, and submit their reports before the deadline to avoid potential compliance issues. The Department of Labor’s filing period runs annually from August 1 through September 30, and electronic filing is strongly encouraged.
